Dr. Jorge L. Green is a laparoscopic bariatric surgeon who is based in Tijuana, Mexico and operates out of the “Go Light Bariatrics” center at the Florence Health System Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. To date, Dr. Jorge L. Green has performed over 1,000 weight loss surgical interventions and is available for Gastric Sleeve Placement, Mini Bypass, RNY Gastric Bypass, and Revision Weight Loss surgeries. Dr. Jorge L. Green received his medical education and a degree from the Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana in Tijuana, Mexico from 2000-2006, and then completed his residency in General Surgery from 2008-2012 at the Tijuana General Hospital. Dr. Green also participated in an undergraduate internship at the Hospital Gral del Edo de Sonora, Mexico from 2004-2005. Dr. Jorge L. Green became Board Certified in General Surgery in 2012. In addition to Dr. Jorge L. Green’s passion for bariatric and weight loss procedures, he has specialized and extensive training and work experience in managing emergency and trauma care as a trauma surgeon at the Red Cross Tijuana Trauma Center and as an emergency room physician at several hospitals across Tijuana. Dr. Green received training from The American College of Surgeons Advanced Trauma Life Support program and studied through the American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support system. Dr. Jorge L. Green is more than qualified to deal with abdominal and surgical emergencies, even though most bariatric procedures garner almost 0 percent complication rates and are considered minimally invasive.
