Dr. Luis Pasten is a highly qualified and experienced bariatric weight loss surgeon operating in Tijuana, Mexico at the Tijuana Bariatric Center. Dr. Luis Pasten has performed over 3,000 bariatric and laparoscopic procedures since 2012 and is considered to be one of the Center’s most promising surgeons. Dr. Luis Pasten received his medical degree and education from the well respected University of Guadalajara. Dr. Luis Pasten then went on to complete an intense 4-year residency in General Surgery at the General Hospital in Tijuana where he not only acquired general surgery skills but also studied trauma surgery medicine. Dr. Luis Pasten completed a doctoral thesis on hiatal hernia repair and Dr. Pasten now specializes in hiatal hernia repair as well as standard bariatric surgeries. Dr. Luis Pasten is certified by the Mexican Counsel of General Surgery and has accreditation in the field of General Surgery. Dr. Luis Pasten is a member of the Mexican College of General Surgery and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery or (ASMBS).
