Dr. Sergio Verboonen

Dr. Sergio Verboonen is an extremely experienced bariatric weight loss surgeon who has performed over 10,000 bariatric procedures and has over 19 years experience in practicing medicine. Dr. Sergio Verboonen is considered a specialized expert in the placement of Adjustable Gastric Bands but is also skilled and greatly proficient in all other standard bariatric surgeries that include: Gastric Bypass, Mini Gastric Bypass, Revision surgery, Sleeve Gastrectomy and the less frequent Vertical Gastroplasty. Dr. Sergio Verboonen received his medical degree and education from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and completed a General Surgery residency at the General Hospital of Tijuana S.S.A. Tijuana, B.C. Mexico. Dr. Sergio Verboonen also obtained specialized training in Laparoscopic Surgery at the General Hospital of The Secretary of Health.
