Dr. Omar Paipilla co-founded the obesity and metabolic disorder surgery clinic at Tijuana General Hospital in 2001. In 2005, Dr. Omar Paipilla was a founding member of the Mexican College of Obesity Surgery. He was named medical head of the Bariatric Center of the Northern Border, an exclusive surgical center for patients with obesity issues. Omar Paipilla, MD, presently works in Tijuana with Lighter Dream and Be Slim Bariatrics.
His career journey started from April 2003 to September 2003 when he completed his degree in hospital administration from Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana, B.C. From March 1995 – February 1996, he completed General Surgery as a specialty from Tijuana’s General Hospital from the Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana, British Columbia. He did undergraduate internship from Hospital Juárez de México. Mexico DF during the period of July 1991 – June 1992. Finally, he completed his studies of being a surgeon from Center for University Studies “XOCHICALCO” Ensenada B.C. Mexico during the period of July 1987 – June 1991.
